Tibetan Mastiff  Stories

I entered the local fete's dog show.  See picture "Dog Like Owner".

It was a very hot day and made me realise how hot poor Caspar must

have felt!

Caspar is a bit of a clown. The other evening, he came in from the

garden curled up and started dozing.  The next thing he shook his paw, jumped up and ran from the room.  I went over to investigate, to find a small earthworm on the floor.  Fancy a 9 stone dog being frightened of a small worm!

Milo’s first attempt of the Good Citizens test, he decided to do his own version of the recall.  Normally he does not come back when there are so many of his friends around him; so the examiner held him, while I ran across the hall making silly noises.  I turned, squatted down and called; he came at me like a rocket, jumping on me.  I was flat on the floor with Milo standing on top of me, with a look that said “I always come!” Then in the stays, which he normally very good at, he decided to get up & walk off! He did not pass!

At the moment (end of January) we are rebuilding our conservatory.  The frame was up, we let the boys out.  A little later we looked out to see them both looking at the non existent doors, waiting to be let in! I thought they had brains!

CASPAR HAS MADE ME REALISE HOW PRIMITIVE THE TM BREED STILL IS.THE OTHER DAY MILO & JAMPO WERE GETTING QUITE ROUGH,MILO WAS TELLING JAMPO OF BUT HE WAS TAKING NO NOTICE.CASPAR WAS IN HIS FAVOURITE SPOT WATCHING.HE SUDDENLY GOT UP ,WENT OVER TO THEM PLACING HIMSELF BETWEEN JAMPO & MILO ,STARED AT JAMPO (NO NOISE)UNTIL HE WALKED AWAY AND LAYED DOWN.CASPAR THEN WENT BACK TO HIS WATCHING POINT.CASPAR WAS CERTAINLY LOOKING AFTER THE YOUNGSTERS!
