TIBETAN MASTIFF

PD (2) 1 Perkins’ Callowdale Harisch. Two very different pups challenged here with the winner being this black/tan just coming up to his first birthday. Good for size and carrying plenty of bone. He pleased for overall type and presented a pleasing outline with strong, muscular neck, level topline, good depth to chest, ribbed well back, muscular loin and tail set on high. Nicely proportioned head with good breadth, oval-shaped eyes which are dark enough, fairly broad muzzle, marked stop and correct dentition. Shoulders well laid and muscular hindquarters with moderate turn of stifle. Moving well enough in profile but could be a little more enthusiastic. Nice firm rear but could be more positive when coming towards. Best Puppy Dog. 2 Biddle’s Richearon Bobo. 6½ mth black/tan who pleased for overall type and I thought his head and expression most attractive; nice breadth to skull, marked stop, good skull to muzzle proportions, dark oval-shaped eyes, ears of correct set and scissor bite. Slightly arched neck of correct length to balance, topline needs to firm up, ribbed well back and rib developing nicely for age, muscular loin and tail set on high. Movement could not match winner but he has plenty of time on his side.
PGD (3,1) 1 Linley’s Woolinoze Jumping Jack. 3 yr old black/tan who has lots to like and a super temperament. He pleased for type, carried good bone and presented a balanced outline with slightly arched, muscular neck, pretty good topline, nice depth to brisket, well sprung ribs, muscular loin and tail good for both set and carriage. Masculine head with broad skull, correct proportions and stop, expressive eyes, ears of correct set, fairly broad muzzle and good dentition. Good angles front and rear and standing nice and straight in front on compact feet. Moving out well in profile with good self carriage. Well handled. 2 Perkins’ Callowdale Harisch.
LD (2) 1 Porteus’ Seii Taishougun Baldan at Shellonbear (Imp Rus). 18 mth black/tan boy who is at the teenager stage right now. Pleasing head with broad skull, defined stop, correct skull to muzzle proportions, super expressive eye, ears of correct size and set and muzzle of breadth and with desired square appearance. Strong neck of good length, firm topline, deep chest and rib developing well for age, muscular loin and tail set on well. He was good to go over, stands nice and straight in front on excellent feet and is nice and firm behind with moderate turn of stifle. Moving soundly with particularly good front action. Very well handled. 2 Perkins’ Callowdale Harisch.
OD (3,1) 1 Lowes’ Ch Legenda Tibeta Tsehovik (Imp Rus). 3 yr old black/tan who greatly impressed. He is all male, appealed for overall type, carries excellent bone and substance and was so good to go over. Masculine head and expression; broad skull, marked stop, dark oval-shaped eyes which are set well apart, medium-sized ears of correct set, broad muzzle and correct dentition. Strong, muscular neck of correct length to balance, firm topline, good depth to chest, excellent ribbing, muscular loin and tail set and carried well. Shoulders well laid, straight forelegs, compact feet and muscular hindquarters with moderate bend of stifle and firm, strong hocks. Moving freely and with purpose, making the most of himself at all times. Quality coat with characteristic mane. A champion already I see from the catalogue and I had no hesitation in awarding him the CC here today. He also appears to be proving his worth as a sire with his progeny taking the Bitch CC, Reserve Dog CC, Best Puppy and other class wins on the day. 2 Naylor’s Callowdale Dick Dastardly from Skaijak. 18 mth gold who was very much out of coat on the day and obviously some way off maturity. However, he greatly pleased and was another who was good to go over given his correct construction. Quality head with good breadth of skull, marked stop, correct proportions, dark expressive eyes which are set well apart, ears of correct set, fair breadth to muzzle and good dentition. Slightly arched neck, firm level topline, good depth to chest, ribbed well back and nicely sprung, muscular loin and tail set on high. Good angles front and rear, nice straight front, compact feet and firm muscular hindquarters. Moving nice and free and driving well from the rear. Just needs to broaden in chest which will come in time. Very well handled to take the RCC.
SB (1) 1 Porteus’ Seii Taishougun Baldan at Shellonbear (Imp Rus). Best Special Beginners in Breed and later took Special Beginners Group 3.
PB (2) 1 Perkins’ Callowdale Hermione. Black just coming up to 12 mths. Quality pup who is made so well and as such was a delight to go over. Feminine girl with pleasing head and expression; good skull to muzzle proportions, oval-shaped eyes good for colour and set, sufficient stop and correct scissor bite. Neck of correct length to balance, super topline, chest of good depth, ribcage extends well back, pleasing rib for age, muscular loin and tail set on nice and high. Well laid shoulders, nice straight front, compact feet and moderately angulated hindquarters with firm, strong hocks. Moving well on the go around but could have been moved out more to advantage. 2 Steele’s Valespride Northern Dancer. 6 mth black/tan who is very much a baby. She is quite different to the winner but another with lots to like and she appealed for overall type and has a most attractive head and expression; good skull to muzzle proportions, marked stop, very nice eye and ear, fair breadth to muzzle and correct dentition. Pleasing neck, topline needs to firm up a tad, good length to ribcage, broad loin and tail set high and of good carriage. Moving well all through but just needs to gain a little more confidence but that will come in time.
JB (2,1) 1 Lowes’ Callowdale Himeko. Black just coming up to 12 months who I see is litter sister to my Best Puppy Dog and the winner of both Puppy and Post Graduate Bitch. This girl has an excellent temperament and made the most of herself at all times. She presented a nicely balanced outline with slightly arched neck of good length, level topline, good depth to brisket, ribbed well back and rib developing well for age, firm loin and tail set on high and of good carriage. Feminine headpiece with nice breadth to skull, good stop, dark expressive eyes, ears of correct size and set and good dentition. She really impressed on the go around although not perfect fore and aft. She obviously has some maturing to do but I thought her most promising. Best Puppy.
PGB (5,2) 1 Perkins’ Callowdale Hermione. 2 Garry’s Dokhyi Kham Zangmo Yangkyi. 18 mth grey/tan who needs to gain a little more confidence. She presented a decent outline with slightly arched neck, fair topline, good depth to chest, pleasing rib, muscular loin and tail set on well and of good carriage. Feminine head but would like more definition to stop, oval-shaped eyes, ears of correct set and good dentition. She is nicely angulated, standing straight in front on compact feet and nice and firm behind with good muscling. Moving freely on the go around and well enough on the down and back. 3 Corfield & Morgan’s Wilsontus Uma.
LB (4) 1 Naylor’s Seii Taishougun Brilliance Star from Skaijak (Imp). 18 mth black/tan. Somewhat immature girl and another in full moult but she turned out to be a comfortable winner here. She is good for size, well-boned and so very well constructed. Attractive head with nice breadth to skull, defined stop, blunt, square muzzle, oval-shaped eyes of good colour and set well apart, medium-sized ears of correct set and good dentition. Strong neck of correct length to provide balance, firm topline, rib developing well and good depth to brisket, muscular loin and nice high tail set. She stands nice and straight in front on good feet and her muscular hindquarters are moderately angulated. Impressive profile action with excellent self carriage. RCC. 2 Lloyd’s Carramia Ain’t No Limits. 18 mth black/tan who I thought an excellent type and another who presented a nicely balanced outline. Well muscled neck of correct length, firm level topline, deep chest, pleasing rib, muscular loin and good tail for both set and carriage. Feminine headpiece with good breadth to skull, marked stop, dark oval-shaped eyes, ears of correct set, fair breadth to muzzle and correct mouth. Carrying nice bone, she stands well in front on nice compact feet and is moderately angulated behind. Moving well in profile with good carriage but could not match the winner on the down and back. 3 Perkins’ Callowdale Hermione.
OB (5,1) 1 Lowes’ Callowdale Maysee Grae. 18 mth grey/tan who won this class with ease and one who I thought was really something special. Another who was not quite in full coat but she excelled for type, outline and construction. Beautifully balanced with strong, muscular neck, firm level topline, chest of good depth, excellent ribbing, muscular loin and tail set on nice and high and of good carriage. Quality head with good breadth to skull, defined stop, oval-shaped eyes which are set well apart, ears of medium size, correct length to muzzle in relation to length of skull, well developed lips and correct dentition. Well laid shoulders, straight well-boned forelegs, standing on the best of feet and powerful hindquarters with moderate turn of stifle and nice firm hocks. Free, purposeful action, driving well from the rear and nice and straight on the down and back. Very well handled. CC & BOB. 2 Garry’s Wangdak Alisha. 3 yr old black/tan of completely different type to the winner but she also has lots to like. She is nicely balanced with slightly arched neck, level topline, good depth of chest, ribbed well back, firm loin and tail set on nice and high. Feminine headpiece with nice breadth to skull, good stop, correct skull to muzzle proportions, oval-shaped eyes which could be a tad darker, ears of correct set, good muzzle and correct dentition. Pleasing angles front and rear but would like to see a little more width to chest. Moving well in profile but not quite the rear action of winner. Good coat. 3 Lloyd’s Hatice Bisurman at Carramia (Imp Pol)
